Kuria (Igikuria)

Kuria is a Bantu language spoken in Tanzania and Kenya by about 738,000 people. There are about 424,000 speakers of Kuria mainly in the Musoma and Tarime districts of the Mara region in northern Tanzania. There are also about 314,000 speakers of Kuria in Migori and Narok counties in southwestern Kenya.

Kuria is also known as Egikuria, Ekikuria, Ikikuria, Kikuria, Kikuria cha Mashariki, Kikuria cha juu, Koria, Kulia, Kurya or Kurye.

Kuria is written with the Latin alphabet. It is taught in some primary schools in Kenya.
