Are you a linguist, a language teacher, a translator, an interpreter,
a polyglot, a linguaphile, studying languages/linguistics or invovled in
any other langauge-related field? Well, here is an opportunity for you to
share interesting aspects of your work/life with the visitors to Omniglot.
Articles can be long or short, serious or lighthearted, fact or fiction,
and in any language - as long as they have something to do with language.
If you write in a language I can't read, please provide a translation
or summary in English. Articles should not be used primarily as a means
of promoting a product or service.
You can send your articles as plain text, Word or PDF. Feel free to include
illustrations, photos, audio, video, animation, etc. but try to keep file
sizes as small as possible.
Please provide a brief paragraph about youself, including details like
where you come from, what you do for a living, etc. You can also include your contact
details. This may generate some enquiries and maybe even some business for you -
this site is visited by over a million people each month. Please do not
send me your CV.
Can I copy/re-use any of these articles?
If you would like to copy or re-use any of these articles, please ask the
authors for permission. Contact details of the authors can be found at the bottom
of each article in most cases, if they're not there, please
contact me, and I'll try to find them for you.
