Naman

Naman is a member of the Southern Oceanic branch of Malayo-Polynesian language family. It is spoken by fewer than 20 people in Litslits (Litzlitz) village on the northeast coast of Malekula Island in Malampa Province in central Vanuatu. Speakers of Naman used to live in the Lambundu area of Malakula, but they moved to Litslits because of epidemics. Most Naman speakers are shifting or have shifted to other languages of northern Malakula.

Naman is also known as Litzlitz, Langalanga, Lëngalëng, Metenesel or Netenesel. It is written with the Latin alphabet.
