Ulumandaʼ is a member of the Northern group of the South Sulawesi branch of the Malayo-Polynesian language family. It is spoken by about 30,000 people in West Sulawesi Province on the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia, particularly in the Majene Regency, and also in the Polewali Mandar and Mamuju regencies, in the south of West Sulawesi Province.
