Nawdm is member of the Gur branch of Niger-Congo language family. It is spoken by about 190,000 people in Togo and Ghana. In particular, it is spoken in the Greater Accra Region in the south of Ghana, and in the Oti Region in eastern Ghana. In Togo it is spoken mainly in the cantons of Togo Niamtougou, Koka, Baga, Ténéga and Siou, and also in Pouda and Massédéna in Doufelgou Prefecture in the Kara Region in the north of the country. Nawdm speakers can also be found in other parts of Togo and Ghana.
Nawdm is also known as Losso, Loso, Losu, naoudem or nawdam. It is written with the Latin alphabet.
