Thaana-Wayuu was devised by Pablo Villa Uhia as a way to write Wayuu, an Arawakan language spoken in Venezuela and Colombia, with the Thaana script, which is normally used to write Maldivian / Dhivehi (ދިވެހި), an Indo-Aryan language spoken mainly in the Maldives, and also in India.
