The Semanggi script was created by Pardomuan Harahap as an alternative way to write Indonesian. It could also be used to write English and other languages. It was inspired by the clover plants that are used to die batik cloth, and the Semanggi Bridge in Jakarta. The word semanggi means 'clover' in Indonesian.
