Kana Basic

Kana Basic

Kana Basic is an alternative way to write Japanese that is an attempted half-way point between romaji and katakana. It was originally created by Safebox for a game project that was later abandoned. It comes in two styles: the "true" kana form and an easy-reading variant. The true kana form is an amalgamation of the consonant and an accompanying vowel, split down the middle and spliced together. While the easy-reading form is these same letters side-by-side in the same glyph.
