Azkarthelian (Azkarthe'elith) Azkarthelian

Azkarthelian is an abjad created by Murray Callahan for his conlang of the same name. It is said to have evolved from the ancient Aramaic alphabet and may be related to the Hebrew alphabet. Incidentally however, the language itself is not related to the Hebrew language.

It is said to have been invented by an Egyptian prophet called Simgishel, who grew up constructing the language from his own words rather than learning the ancient Egyptian language and hieroglyphics, and named the language and script in honour of a wizard called Eldrith Azkarthiel, whom he considered the most well-taught of his scholars.
