Guro is a Southeastern Mande language spoken by about 500,000 people along the western shores of Lac de Kossou in the regions of Haut-Sassandra and Marahoué and Fromager in southern Ivory Coast. In particularly in the subprefectures of Zuénoula, Vavoua, Gouitafla, Bouaflé, Sinfra, and Oumé, and also in the regions of Vallee du Bandama, Worodougou and Lacs.
Guro is also known as Gouro, Kweni, Kwéndré or Lo. It is written with the Latin alphabet, and there is a Guro translation of the Bible.
