Bukar–Sadong (Bidayŭh Bukar-Sadung)

Bukar–Sadong is a member of the Land Dayak group of Malayo-Polynesian languages. It is spoken by about 49,000 people in the State of Sarawak in the east of Malaysia, and in West Kalimantan Province in the north of Indonesia, both of which are located on the island of Borneo. Speakers of Bukar–Sadong are mainly found in the Serian and Samarahan divisions and on Mount Cemaru in the southwest of Sarawak, and in the Sanggau and Sintang regencies in the north of West Kalimantan.

Bukar–Sadong is also known as Buka, Bukar, Bukar Sadong, Bukar-Sadung Bidayuh or Bidayŭh Bukar-Sadung, Sadong, Sabutan, Sadung, Serian or Tebakang. A way to write Bukar–Sadong with the Latin script was developed in 2005.
