I thought I heard something like “Tuareg”, more than once. Could this be Tamasheq?
Is it Iaai, spoken on Ouvéa, off New Caledonia?
It does indeed sound like a Polynesian language with French influence so maybe Emanuel is right.
Interestingly, at first I thought it sounded like a Romance language close to Italian, but on subsequent listenings it didn’t sound like that anymore.
It doesn’t sound Polynesian to me but according to Simon it is spoken in the territory of New Caledonia, so it’s probably one of the Kanak languages. My guess is Iaai.
The mystery language is Caac (Caaàc), a New Caledonian language spoken on the northeast coast of Grande Terre island in the North Province of New Caledonia.
