Siddham is nice, but Grantha is too much like Tamil.
My absolute favorites are Javanese and Balinese.

I'm starting to enjoy Runes more and more these days. Not just Futhark and Futhorc, but also Tolkien's Cirth Runes and Hungarian Rovás. I also found an interesting book in Russian that deals with Slavic, mostly West Slavic runes, well what little of them there exist, mostly just short inscriptions of gods' names on stone or wooden idols. Unfortunately the number of symbols is limited that I can't even write my name in them.

There are some examples here (I think it's reliable):
http://www.libereya.ru/public/runy/

The inscriptions on this page are genuine but the author's reading and translating is bogus:

Concerning Tolkien, I have recently mastered the Sarati or Rúmilian script and applied it for Slovak. Tengwar is not so much appealing to me, at least not for Slovak, though the Elvish languages look quite nice written with it.

WHAT?! I demand that you post it here! No but seriously I wanna see it. I like runes alot too. There's something mysterious about them that makes you want to learn more.

And as for naming every single writing system that's on my favorite writing systems list......that's almost impossible since it includes conscripts....the most recently added being Cloud and Rain featured on none other then Omniglot. Go see it.

I had a "pretty scripty" attack when I saw it. The guy who made it should some how make some sort of font for it. Also he should DEFINITELY do it for his other script Harta ( also featured on Omniglot ).

I envy the fact that he has the "equipment" on his computer to make such beautiful scripts. More or less make them "come to life" from paper....Also thanks for the links to the runes. Alot of them I've never seen before.

Pure genius. I'm rambling now so......yeah ^^

You mean the Sarati script? I learned all about it here:

I use the Phonetic form.

I think my favourite script for pure fun value is Runes (either the Old English ones, or Tolkien’s Cirth). For distinguishability of the characters to new learners, I'd have to go with Canadian Syllabics as used for Inuktitut.

Of course, neither of those is particularly suited to calligraphy; for that, I’d have to vote for Tengwar, or (gasp) cursive Latin. Yeah, I’m biased in more ways than one. :¬)

Latin & Chinese - Latin because of the simplicity and Chinese because of the complexity yet both have beauty in their own ways.

AMEN.

But English spelling/writing needs a MAJOR makeover don't you think?

Actually...no. English spelling is ok the way it is - any makeovers would just ruin it I think. Besides, how many such proposals have failed? :P
