According to today's Wall Street Journal northward winds are driving record growth of winter sea ice around Antarctica. It is quite different from the Arctic. The two poles are mirror opposites generally speaking. Maybe pollar bears from the north could be moved to the south if they have problems with shrinking ice in the Arctic.

Personally, it might be a 'record' in our records, but it is my belief that this is part of a natural cycle, and one that we should be preparing for rather than trying to prevent. Regardless, polar bears don't spend their summer on ice, but on land. Not to mention the turn around for winter has arrived not too long ago, and the ice should be regrowing plenty now.

Also, keep those damn bears off Antarctica! They'll eat all the poor penguins!
