Iyo'wujwa Chorote (Yojwaja)

Iyo'wujwa Chorote is an Matacoan language spoken in mainly Salta Province in northern Argentina, and also in Boquerón department in the northwest of Paraguay. In Argentina there are about 1,500 speakers of Iyo'wujwa Chorote, and there are about 370 in Paraguay. The language is taught in primary schools in Paraguay, and is used mainly in homes in Argentina.

Iyo'wujwa Chorote is also known as Chorote, Choroti, I'no', Inkijwas, Manjuy, Yojwaja. Dialects include: Chorote (Iyowujwa), Manjui (Inkijwas, I'no', Manjuy), Yofuáha and Yowúwa.
