Ikwo

Ikwo is a member of the Igboid branch of the Volta-Niger language family. It is spoken by about 260,000 people in southern Nigeria, particularly in the Ikwo Local Government Area (LGA) in the south of Ebonyi State, and in the Obubra and Abi LGAs in west of Cross River State.

Ikwo is closely related to Izii, Ezza and Mgbo, and these languages are all mutually intelligible to some extent. It is written with the Latin alphabet, taught in schools, and used by people of all ages.
