Something suggests to me a southeast Asian language ( some of the vowel sounds) as well as the music itself (the different notes and their number) but I tend to agree with Emanuel as to Sinitic/Sino-Tibetan origin.
I was leaning towards Sinitic too – the consonant finals on some of the syllables make me think it would be southern Chinese if it is Sinitic, like a Hakka dialect? (That feels a little too mainstream for Simon though…)
Could be Sino-Tibetan or even Sinitic proper.

The tone pattern does sound Sinitic, but it’s definitely not Mandarin.

I’m wondering if it might be Thai, Lao or Hmong..
A Tai or a Miao language are also possible, I think. The (mostly) pentatonic tune is beautiful but not much of a help, unfortunately!
The mystery language is Qabiao, a Kra language spoken in northern Vietnam and southern China.
