  1. I agree with Austronesian. It’s probably Malayo-Polynesian, i.e. extra-Formosan, but not Polynesian proper. Arabic/Islamic influence is possible.

  2. I agree with Hank’s Philippine idea (“nagkaliwad?” at 0:19 sounds super Filipino to me). I can’t really tell the Philippine languages apart, but Emanuel’s Islamic idea got me thinking that “madina” (0:20) is an Arabic loanword. I’m thinking it could be a Moro language like Tausug.

    1. Yes, ”madina” indeed sounds like an Arabic loanword. Generally speaking, the vowel system sounds like having a quantity distinction. According to Simon’s clue this language is spoken in the Philippines. Arabic/Islamic influence is stronger in the south there, so Tausug is a possibility.
