100% bantu, i believe this is a religious sermon of sorts because i can hear “iesu” or some sort of word for jesus. i don’t think it’s a nguni language though, seems closer to swahili in overall phonology i think but there’s a weird liquid consonant in there which is throwing me off.
based on the hint on radio omniglot (spoken in tanzania and malawi), i’m going with Nyakyusa, none of the other languages of either country seem to fit imo
Yes, it’s Bantu and apparently of religious content.
And Nyakyusa does fit the hint (Tanzania, Malawi). But this is not one of the recordings featured on the Nyakyusa page on Omniglot.
That doesn’t mean much in itself but maybe there are some other candidates out there in that area …

I agree 100% with Arjun. It sounds VERY Bantu and if I didn’t know any better I would have thought it is Swahili.
