  1. To me this sounds like a modern speaker rendering the beginning of Art. 1 of the UDHR in a reconstructed ancient language.

  2. The language quiz. I’m guessing it’s Hindi or Bengali. I listened to it several times, and I’m in a nursing home where there is a large population of employees from Guyana in northeastern South america. They are all Indian, from when their ancestors were brought to that area by the British 150 years ago. And no I don’t understand the words the sounds of it sound like what I’ve been hearing from people. And they speak Hindi g.

  3. I tend to agree that it sounds like a language from the Indian subcontinent although I am fascinated with Emanuel’s thoughts on its being what he says it is and how it’s described!

  4. At 00:10 there is the conspicuous word ‘barabari’ which means equality in Bengali, so Lilli might be close to the truth!

  5. The mystery language is Mundari (মুণ্ডরি / मुण्डरि / ମୁଣ୍ଡରି / Muṇḍari), a Munda language spoken in India, Bangladesh and Nepal.
