Can you identify the language, and do you know where it’s spoken?

But, that’s a real tough one, Simon.
I got the feeling that it might be a language fron the Indian subcontinent, not necesserally Indo-Aryan, though.
And, as usually, I might be completely wrong.
I feel it might be India as well, but that’s all I’ll venture
I agree that it sounds Indian, but not Indo-Aryan – nor Dravidian. I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that it is one of the Andamanese languages.
It seems nobody is going to get this one. The answer is Pohnpeian / Ponapean, a Micronesian language spoken on the island of Pohnpei in the Caroline Islands in Micronesia.

The recording comes from the GRN.
Shame on me!
Being the proud owner of a book titled “Ponapean Reference Grammar” I never figured out what the language would sound like.
Heh, incorrectly suggesting Chuukese last week put me off guessing a Micronesian language again.
