I decided to improve the script charts on the hiragana and katakana pages on Omniglot today – something I’ve been meaning to do to a long time.
Here’s one of the new charts:
As well as put improved charts of the kana online, I’ve also put links to Word and PDF versions of the charts for handy offline reference.
Do you think such downloadable charts are useful? Would you like to similar ones for other writing systems?

Yes, Simon, they’re very useful. A long time ago I’ve downloaded a lot of script and alphabet images from Omniglot and copied them onto my Palm, but there were many and I’ve got tired. But the images I’ve downloaded are there as a useful reference.
By the way, I like this chart because it uses big letters. There are many images on Omniglot with letters very small, and tiny details are often difficult to recognize. I would be happy to see them bigger. There are a lot of languages I didn’t see any information elsewhere for.

Can you configure them in a size to be printed like cards?

I agree, very useful for learning an unfamiliar script. I usually have to make this kind of charts myself, it’d be great if they were available on omniglot.

The under katakana are hardly used than the over. it can replace the following.
スィ si → シ shi (シー C, システム system)
ズィ zi → ジ ji (ミュージアム museum)
ヴィ vi → ビ bi (ブイ V, ボイド void)
ヴ vu → ブ bu (セーブ save)
ヴェ ve → ベ be (ベール veil)
ヴォ vo → ボ bo (ボイス voice)
テュ tyu → チュ chu (チューナー tuner)
