This image were sent in by a visitor to Omniglot. Can any of you identify the symbols on it? They look like a writing system of some kind, but I don’t recognise it.
As we are not sure which way up it should be, the rock is shown both ways up.

Some of the symbols look like some variant of Brahmi; perhaps Burmese or something like that.
I’d also guess a southern Brahmī derivative. Sinhala? Can’t see any definite letters though.
There is one symbol like this: o-o but in vertical way. I’m pretty sure I saw it this one somewhere on Omniglot but I can’t recall.
Have to say it doesn’t look Brahmi to me. There’s no sense of basic letters being modified (or if there is I can’t see it). No idea what it could be though.
