Somehow I’m split between two. One time I hear it like something related to the filippino i heard here, and another time i think it is more african for the “democratique” at the end of the clip.
It may be „demokratik”, not „démocratique”. The pronunciation is the same, the origin is different. 🙂 I’m unsure if it is an African language but it may be.

Please, does anyone know or have the lyrics of Denez Prigent’s Ar Rannoù?
I found once the original poem (long version) but not what Denez sings actually. Anyhow, now I can’t find any!
Stumped. Probably somewhere colonized by France, for the same reason as #1.
At first I was hesitating between something African and Native American (mainly due to voice quality).
And then I had a hunch and did some searching and now am very, very sure that this is Malagasy, the main spoken language of Madagascar.
Total guess, but I heard general Austronesian sounds mixed with some African sounds (maybe) and French loan words, so Malagasy is my first impression.
If I’m right, this’ll be the first one I’ve guessed correctly on!
Seems Austronesian and Malagasy would be my guess too.
I initially thought of Malagasy, then dismissed it, but judging from other comments I’ll have to go with it. I recognized Austronesian reduplications right away, but the consonants were all wrong, so I second-guessed myself and thought it was something African. Never having heard Malagasy, something made me think it would sound more like a Philippine or Indonesian language.
Is it just me or are there weird things going on there? Strangest, about half way through I could swear there’s a voicelss lateral fricative. Anyone else hear that? It threw me off for a while.
I heard a mixture of French word stress and Portuguese..Possible a Portuguese creole…
