There is quite a bit of Spanish in this. So I guess it must be some indigenous language spoken in a country formerly colonised by Spain.
My first reaction is to agree with Emanuel. There are a lot of things that sound borrowed from Spanish. There are also sounds that suggest an Asian base so my initial guess is one of the Philippine languages. Gonna look into any recording of them here.
I’m thinking the borrowed words are from Portuguese, and that it’s a language from Mozambique, especially with that music.
At 0:08-0:09 he says “pueblos indígenas” – which is Spanish, I think.
“Pueblos indígenas,” (0:08) suggests the American southwest. Was the phrase used in other regions?
The language is Aguaruna (Awajún), a Chicham language spoken in northern Peru
Wow, this is intriguing! I always find it fascinating how different languages sound, even without understanding the words. Sometimes when I need a mental break from deciphering something complex, I just play the Dinosaur Game on Chrome. It’s simple, requires no internet, and oddly calming. Maybe after a few rounds, my brain will be refreshed enough to take a stab at guessing this language! Good luck to everyone participating!
