Can you identify the language, and do you know where it’s spoken?

There are some sounds that sound like Vietnamese but I hear no tones. A really wild guess (and I mean wild!) is Khmer. Who knows?!
Can’t even guess on this one, but glad to have the language quiz back!
I feel like it’s Hmong-Mien, Austroasiatic, or Kra-Dai. Maybe Zhuang? Beyond that I have no idea
I hate to be a spoiler but having just looked at the new language named Khmu it seems to be the same recording on the Khmu page that is also in the language quiz. Sure sounds the same.
I’m going with Khmu too
I believe that if it is not Khmer it is Eastern Khmu, because –I agree with Hank–tones are not distinguished, and Western Khmu does possess them.
The answer is Khmu (ກຶມຫມຸ), a member of the Khmuic branch of the Austroasiatic language family spoken mainly in Laos, and also in Vietnam, Thailand and China.
