It’s some form of Bavarian, isn’t it? (Wennsd mi frogst, bist du a Preiß auf Lebenszeit).
Austrian German? Definetely a dialect of German.
Rhyw fath o Almaeneg, Some sort of German
I would say Schwerbisch? maybe even Schweiz deutsch. ?
It’s some kind of german equivalent of the Mexican comic that dresses like a bumble bee.
MM got it – it is indeed Bavarian (Bayerisch/Bairisch), a dialect of German spoken in Bavaria (Bayern/Baiern).
The recording comes from YouTube is part of an episode of the Simpsons (De Huabas) in Bavarian.
The Simpson?? LOL. That’s why it sounded so funny!
The Preiß meaning Prussian was a clue. Austrians might talk about Piefkes, but afaik only Bavarians talk about Prussians (i.e. the rest of the world.)
Bayerish! Keine Zweifel.
