I agree east or southeast Asia. SIno-Tibetan is typologically diverse, so I can’t be certain it’s in the family, but I think it sounds analytic enough to potentially be in the SInitic branch, and I think I heard a possible cognate of Mandarin /miŋg24 pai 55/.
It certainly seems tonal and southeast Asian. Possibly a minority language from China?

The mystery language is Bouyei (Haausqyaix), a northern Tai-Kaidai language spoken mainly in southern China, and also in northern Vietnam.
