Do you know or can you guess the language, and do you know where it’s spoken?

Italo-Romance (that much is obvious); what sounds like “magnà”, stressed on the ultimate, further limits the possibilities. It doesn’t sound Gallo-Italic to me. Neapolitan?
I’m going to guess (and it’s only a guess) that it’s Sardu. It;’s certainly an Italian-based language.
Or maybe a dialect of Rumansch?
I think it’s a dialect very close to standard Italian. It could be Romanesco because I think this word “magnà” means “mangiare” in Tuscan/Standard Italian.
My guess is Venetian.
The language is Talian (taliàn), a variety of Venetian spoken in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil.
“a variety of Venetian spoken … in southern Brazil.”
Okay, that’s the coolest obscure fact I’ve learned in a while. The “History” section of the Wikipedia article linked by Simon is pretty interesting too. Thanks, Simon, this was a particularly good one!
