Here’s a recording in a mystery language.
Can you identify the language, and do you know where it’s spoken?
Tough one. NOT European or Middle Eastern/Southwest Asian(!)
My first guess is a language of South America; my second is some inner Austronesian language. Can’t say much beyond that though.
Your second guess it warm – it is an Austronesian language, and more specifically, Micronesian.
Perhaps nobody is going to get this one – the answer is Kiribati (taetae ni Kiribati), a Micronesian language spoken in Kiribati, Fiji, Nauru, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
The recording comes from the GRN (The Prodigal Son).
