  1. Luxembourgish!
For sure for sure for sure.

  2. Alan Coady says:

It sounds very French and it also sounds more like a European than, say, an African voice, so I’m guessing Corsican.

  3. Marco A. Cruz says:

All I can tell it is a germanic language, sounds like German, may ba a dialect of it, probably from Switzerland.

  4. michael says:

Definitely a Germanic language. I will join Prietpraatprinses in guessing Luxembourg.

  5. S Shelby says:

Definitely a German dialect with French influence, probably from Western Germany, Luxembourg, or France. I’m going to guess Elsässerdeutsch.

  6. Halabund says:

Something close to Dutch maybe? There was a Luxembourgish recording on a quiz last year, and it sounded different.

  7. harris e. says:

    afrikaans?

  8. Juliette says:

Sure has nothing to do with either Dutch or Afrikaans.

The start sounds very French to me, the middle very germanic, the end is a mystery to me. I haven’t got a clue therefore, though I guess Luxembourgish will either be it or very close.

  9. BG says:

Without looking, it sounds like German with a French accent. I’ll guess Alsatian or maybe Luxembourgish.

  10. Aidan says:

I don’t think that it’s Luxembourgish as it’s not German enough to my ears. It is definitely a mix of French and German so Alsatian sounds like a very strong possibility. Another guess would be one of the German dialects spoken in eastern Belgium (around Eupen). They must have a strong French influence.

  11. tazgo says:

It’s definitely a German dialect with a strong French influence, so I’m gonna go with Luxembourgish too.

  12. Colm says:

    I’d go with Luxembourgish here.

  13. Simon says:

The answer is Luxembourgish (Lëtzebuergesch), and the recording comes from RTL.
