  1. Sameer says:

Is this a language of insular Southeast Asia? It sounds sort of like a languages of the Philippines or Indonesia, but with lots of central vowels. If I’m not wrong with this initial assessment, my sort of random guess would be Acehnese.

  2. Jonathan says:

I was going to guess ‘Austronesian’, but I eventually realized it is probably the same thing as ‘of insular Southeast Asia’, what with Latin insula = Greek νήσος, and English south = Latin austro. But maybe there’s some technical distinction between the two concepts so I’ll post my guess anyways.

  3. John says:

I think this language is from the Southeast Asian countries. I feel like it’s related to Hindu.

  4. Jim M. says:

I think it’s one of the Malay-related varieties from Sumatra in Indonesia, but I couldn’t make a guess as to which one.

  5. Simon says:

Jim M. – it is a Malay-related variety, and is spoken mainly in Kalimantan.

  6. Simon says:

The language is Banjar(ese) (Bahasa Banjar), a Malayic language spoken in parts of Indonesia and Malaysia.
