Language quiz 11 June 2017 By Simon Here’s a recording in a mystery language. Can you identify the language, and do you know where it’s spoken?

It is spoken in West Africa, but belongs to a different branch of the Niger-Congo language family. Reply
The language is Vai (ꕙꔤ), a Mande language spoken in parts of Liberia and Sierra Leone. The recording comes from YouTube. Reply
