Can you identify the language, and do you know where it’s spoken?

just discovered your wonderful blog/site…!
Regarding the quiz: reminds me a bit of bahasa indonesia. But it isn’t – some Polynesian/Malay language?
Sounds a lot like Bahasa Malay, perhaps its a local Creole there seems to be reference to Dongyang in Chiina so it could be a trade related patoise in the ports of the Peninsular or Borneo.
Khasi?? Sounds like a language from NE India or its border nations. Could make out the word ‘poromEshvar’ (‘God’ Almighty)…
The answer is Puma (पुमा), a Kiranti language spoken in Khotang and Udayapur districts of Nepal

The recording comes from the GRN.
I was going to guess Newari, not terribly far off I suppose.
