A Burmese or Indonesian language?
Not much of a song, isn’t it?
Though it’s risky to agree with Roger ;), I also have Southeast Asia in mind. To be precisely: one of those 800 or so languages spoken in Papua New Guinea. But no idea if it belongs to the Papuan, Trans-New Guinea, Sepik-Ramu or another language family.
I’d been thinking an Indonesian language, but I like Daydreamer’s suggestion of a Papuan language. So Simon, er, what’s the verdict?
Throwing in a dark horse guess – Dhivehi.
The answer is Juang, a Munda language spoken in Orissa in India
