language in last week&#8217;s language quiz was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/writing\/meankieli.htm\">Me\u00e4nkieli<\/a>, a Finnic language spoken along the valley of the Torne River in href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/celtiadur\/2023\/03\/23\/sweet-and-gentle\/\">Sweet and Gentle<\/a> and related things in Celtic languages are linked to the name Kevin.<\/p>\n<p>On the Celtic Pathways podcast we discover links between words for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/radio\/?p=2690\">Surface and Skin<\/a> and related things in Celtic languages and words like tonne\/ton (weight) and tun (a kind of cask) in English, and words for tonne, barrel and cask in Catalan, Galician, French, Spanish and other languages.<\/p>\n<p>Incidentally, I also created new logos for the
