It was also borrowed into English as <strong>kameez<\/strong> [k\u0259\u02c8mi\u02d0z], as in <strong>shalwar kameez<\/strong> (a loose shirt worn in some South Asian and Islamic countries), and into various languages in South Asia, via Urdu <strong>\u0642\u064e\u0645\u0650\u06cc\u0652\u0636<\/strong> (qam\u012bz &#8211;
