See if you can guess what language this is:<\/p>\n<p><audio controls=\"\"><source src=\"http:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/soundfiles\/blog\/quiz170722.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\"><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/soundfiles\/blog\/quiz170722.mp3\" width=\"100\" height=\"50\"><\/audio><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a clue: this language is spoken mainly in Mozambique.<\/p>\n<p>The mystery language in last week&#8217;s language quiz was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/writing\/dogri.htm\">Dogri<\/a> (\u0921\u094b\u0917\u0930\u0940 \/ \u0688\u0648\u06af\u0631\u06cc\u202c), a Western Pahari language spoken in the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab in northern India.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CeCOh2WWsxg\" title=\"YouTube video player\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>There are new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/celtiadur\/\">Celtiadur<\/a> posts are about words for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/celtiadur\/2022\/07\/12\/brushes-and-broom\/\">Brushes and Broom<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/celtiadur\/2022\/07\/08\/ferns-and-bracken\/\">Ferns and Bracken<\/a> and related things in Celtic languages.<\/p>\n<p>I started a new series on Radio Omniglot this week called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/radio\/?cat=122\">Celtic Pathways<\/a>, in which I explore connections between Celtic languages, and search for Celtic roots in other languages. such as English, French and Spanish. This is something I\u2019ve been thinking about doing for quite a while, and finally got round to.
