English words from the same roots include <strong>beef<\/strong>, <strong>bovine<\/strong>, <strong>bucolic<\/strong>, <strong>buffalo<\/strong>,  <strong>cow<\/strong>, <strong>boustrophedon<\/strong> (writing in lines alternating from left to right and right to left, or lit. \u201cas the ox turns\u201d) [<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/Category:English_terms_derived_from_the_Proto-Indo-European_root_*tewh%E2%82%82-\">source<\/a>].<\/p>\n<p>The word <strong>boustrophedon<\/strong> is discussed in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/bloggle\/?p=22245\">this Omniglot blog post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Ancient Greek word <em>\u03c4\u03c5\u03c1\u03cc\u03c2<\/em> [ty\u02d0.r\u00f3s] (cheese) comes from the Proto-Hellenic <em>*t\u016br\u00f3s<\/em> (cheese), from the Proto-Indo-European <em>*tewh\u2082-<\/em> (to swell).
