<a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/conscripts\/lshucid.htm\">lshucid<\/a> (\u10a7\u2d10\u2d0a\u2d18\u2d13\u2d1a\u2d08\u2d03) &#8211; which is a way to write Salishan languages such as Lushootseed and Nuxalk using the Georgian Nuskhuri and Asomtavruli alphabets.<\/p>\n<p>There are new numbers pages in: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/language\/numbers\/xibe.htm\">Xibe<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/language\/numbers\/jurchen.htm\">Jurchen<\/a>, which are both Southern Tungusic languages that are, or were, spoken in northern parts of China.<\/p>\n<p>On the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/bloggle\/\">Omniglot blog<\/a> this week there\u2019s a post about the song <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/bloggle\/?p=21762\">Auld Lang Syne<\/a>, and the usual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/bloggle\/?p=21780\">Language Quiz<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The mystery language in last week&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/bloggle\/?p=21758\">language quiz<\/a> was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/writing\/bhojpuri.htm\">Bhojpuri<\/a> (\u092d\u094b\u091c\u092a\u0941\u0930\u0940), a Bihari language spoken mainly in India.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/celtiadur\/\">Celtiadur<\/a> post this week is about words for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/celtiadur\/2021\/12\/31\/ladles-and-spoons\/\">Ladles and Spoons<\/a> in Celtic languages.<\/p>\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omniglot.com\/radio\/?p=1658\">Adventure in Etymology<\/a> this week we look at the origins of the words <strong>new<\/strong> and <strong>year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/j-OyuVzvb8Y\" title=\"YouTube video player\" allow=\"accelerometer;
