real, true) and <em>-\u03bb\u03bf\u03b3\u03bf\u03c2<\/em> (-logos &#8211; word, reason, explanation)  [<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/etymology#English\">source<\/a>]<\/p>\n<p>You could say that I am an <strong>etymologist<\/strong>, that is someone who specializes in etymology, and I like to <strong>etymologise<\/strong>, or find the etymologies of words.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Etymologists<\/strong> are also known as <strong>historical linguists<\/strong> or <strong>philologists<\/strong>, and  <strong>philology<\/strong> is the study of historical linguistics, and more broadly the love and study of learning and literature.
