The village has reconstructed Anglo-Saxon houses, and stages living history re-enactments of Anglo-Saxon life, including, it seems, some Old English.<\/p>\n<p>I found that I could understand the Old English pretty well &#8211; both spoken and written (see <a href=\"www.youtube.com\/watch?v=p72ciUaTBCk\">YouTube<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tha-engliscan-gesithas.org.uk\/welcome\/alsige-a-taste-of-old-english\">\u0110a Engliscan Gesi\u00f0as<\/a> for a transcription and translation).
