According to my French dictionary though, cheesecake is <em>flan au fromage blanc<\/em>, and another possible translation is <em>g\u00e2teau au fromage<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In Germany cheesecake is <em>K\u00e4sekuchen<\/em> or <em>Quarkkuchen<\/em>, in Switzerland it&#8217;s <em>Quarktorte<\/em>, and in Austria it&#8217;s <em>Topfenkuchen<\/em>, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/K%C3%A4sekuchen\">Wikipedia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>What about in other languages?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the things we discussed last night at the French conversation group was cheesecake &#8211; a member of the group has a weakness for this dessert and couldn&#8217;t resist when she saw it on the menu.
