Another translation of this phrase, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/m%C3%A9nager_la_ch%C3%A8vre_et_le_chou\">Wiktionary<\/a>, is to <strong>run with the hare and hunt with the hounds<\/strong>. The reflexive version of the verb, <strong>se m\u00e9nager<\/strong>, means &#8220;not to push oneself too hard&#8221;.
