I wrote a new song today entitled “Make the most of it while it lasts”. The beginnings of the tune came to me this morning when I was brushing my teeth, and the first few lines came to me while I was washing the dishes after lunch. I looked out of the window and saw that it was raining heavily, and decided to write something about the rain. This is what I came up with:<\/p>\n

Make the most of it while it lasts<\/strong>
\nWhen the rain falls from the sky
\nDon\u2019t you fret, don\u2019t you cry
\nJust put on your boots and go outside.
\nJump in puddles and go wild.
\nAnd release your inner child.
\nThen you won\u2019t feel so blue any more.<\/p>\n

When the temperature is falling
\nAnd the weather is appalling
\nIt\u2019s good to stay indoors sometimes.
\nTo read a book, or watch a film
\nOr sing a song, or play some tunes
\nOr just to sit by the fire and doze.<\/p>\n

So when the winter time has come
\nAnd you\u2019re feeling rather glum
\nDon\u2019t forget to smile and sing and dance.
\nPaint some pictures, bake some cakes
\nTalk to friends, skate on lakes,
\nAnd make the most of it while it lasts.<\/p>\n
