Es i i\u2019r c\u00f4r meibion am y drydedd tro yr wythnos hon. Yn raddol dw i\u2019n mynd yn fwy cyfarwydd gyda geiriau ac alawon y caneuon ac gyda chleff y bas. Gartref dw i\u2019n ymarfer chwarae\u2019r alawon ar y git\u00e2r ac yn canu ar y un pryd. Bydd y c\u00f4r yn perfformio mewn llawer o gyngherddau eleni – o leiaf unwaith y mis – ac bydd ein cyngerdd cyntaf ar yr 2 Chwefror yn Seaford. Ddydd Mercher mi brynais siwt ginio, crys gwisg a thei cwlwm coch fel y ddraig ar y fanner Cymru i wisgo yn y cyngherddau. Mi ges i ostyngiad mawr ar y preis – pumdeg y cant – oherwydd y seliau mis Ionawr.<\/p>\n
Ddydd Iau ymunais \u00e2\u2019r Gerddorfa Werin Sussex, gr\u0175p o gerddorion gwerin sy\u2019n chwarae cerddoriaeth o bob cwr Brydain ac Iwerddon dwywaith y mis yn Worthing. Maen nhw\u2019n chwarae ar gyfer dawnsiau sgubor a digwyddiadau tebyg o bryd yw gilydd hefyd. Er enghraifft, neithiwr chwaraeon nhw yn nghinio Burns, ond chwaraeais i ddim achos dim ond newydd ymunais \u00e2 nhw yw i.<\/p>\n
Chuaigh m\u00e9 chuig an c\u00f3r ar an tr\u00ed\u00fa uair an seachtaine seo. De r\u00e9ir a ch\u00e9ile t\u00e1 m\u00e9 ag \u00e9ir\u00ed n\u00edos aithnidi\u00fail leis focla\u00ed agus foinn na hamhr\u00e1in, agus ar an dord-eochair. Sa bhaile b\u00edm ag cleachtadh na foinn ar an giot\u00e1r agus ag canadh ag an am ceanna. Beidh an c\u00f3r ag seinn i go leor ceolchoirmeacha i mbliana – uair amh\u00e1in gach m\u00ed ar a laghad – agus beidh an ch\u00e9ad cheolchoirm ar an 2 de Mh\u00ed Feabhra i Seaford. D\u00e9 C\u00e9adaoin cheannaigh m\u00e9 culaith dinn\u00e9ir, l\u00e9ine feisteas agus carbhat cuach\u00f3ige dearg mar an dragan ar bhratach na Breataine Bige, agus caithfidh m\u00e9 iad ag na ceolchoirmeacha. Fuair m\u00e9 lascaine mh\u00f3r – caoga faoin gcead – de bharr d\u00edolach\u00e1in Ean\u00e1ir.<\/p>\n
D\u00e9ardaoin chuaigh m\u00e9 chuig Ceolfhoireann na nDaoine Sussex, gr\u00fapa daoine a bh\u00edonn ag seinn ceol as gach coirn\u00e9al Breataine agus na h\u00c9ireann dh\u00e1 uair sa mh\u00ed i Worthing. B\u00edonn siad ag seinn ag damhsa\u00ed sciob\u00f3l agus gn\u00edomha\u00edochta\u00ed cos\u00fala \u00f3 am go ham fosta. Mar shampla, sheinn siad ag dinn\u00e9ar Burns ar\u00e9ir, ach n\u00ed sheinn mise mar n\u00ed mo n\u00e1 go bhfuil m\u00e9 t\u00e9igh iontu agam.<\/p>\n
This week I went to the Welsh choir for the third time. I\u2019m gradually becoming more familiar with the words and tunes of the song, and with the bass clef. I practise the tunes on the guitar at home and try to sing them as well. The choir will be performing in quite a few concerts this year – at least one a month – and the first one will be on 2nd February in Seaford. On Thursday I bought a dinner suit to wear at the concerts. It came with a dress shirt and bow tie that\u2019s red like the dragon on the Welsh flag and I got a big discount – 50% – thanks to the January sales.<\/p>\n
On Thursday I joined the Sussex Folk Orchestra, a bunch of people who play folk music from every corner of Britain and Ireland a couple of times a month in Worthing. The also play at barn dances and for similar occasions from time to time. Last night, for example, they played at a Burns Night dinner, though I didn\u2019t play as I\u2019ve only just joined them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
