When someboday sneezes, do you usually say anything? If so, what?<\/p>\n

In the UK it’s common to say ‘Bless you!’ after a sneeze. <\/p>\n

In French they say \u00e0 tes souhaits<\/em> or \u00e0 vos souhaits<\/em> – souhait<\/em> = wish, so these mean something like ‘to your wishes’.<\/p>\n

In German they say “Gesundheit!” (Health). I’ve heard this used by English speakers as well.<\/p>\n

The Welsh equivalents of ‘Bless you’ are:<\/p>\n

– Rhad arnat ti! = Bless you! (to one person you know)
\n– Rhad arnoch chi! = Bless you! (to several people or a stranger)
\n– Bendith y Tad! = Blessing of the Father!<\/p>\n

However I’ve never heard these used in Welsh.<\/p>\n

Here are a few ways: achoo, atchoo, ahchoo, ah-choo, a-choo, atishoo, atchoum (French).<\/p>\n
