yapusazh

yapusazh is the alphabetic representation of the Sinnish language (lidosazh in its own tongue). yapusazh and Sinnish were invented by Scott 'Blade' Hamilton for use in a series of stories and role-playing games set in an urban fantasy background.

Noteable features

yapusazh is an alphabet written from left to right like English.
There are two forms of yapusazh, a calligraphic script called yapuzhat ('smoke letters') and round form called yapuwer ('forest letters').
Each letter has a Sinnish name. The names for consonants start with the sound they symbolize. The names of the vowels have the vowel as the first (or only) vowel that appears in them.
In yapusazh, all vowels have descenders and all consonants have ascenders. The chul letter both ascends and descends.
There are a few optional ligatures for when the tuhr vowel follows certain letters.
In yapuwer all vowels have descenders. Consonants do not, but are written along the top of the line.
