Sholanquano alphabet

The Sholanquano alphabet is the invention of Asa (apollotiger[at]ix.netcom.com) and is based on the Arabic script with vowel diacritics based on the Tengwar script. He uses it to write a conlang that he and a friend are working on.

Notable features

Each letter has a different shape depending on it's position in a word.
Vowels are written above and/or below the consonants, or are attached to a special vowel carrier when they appear on their own.
Sholanquano can be written either left-to-right or right-to-left. A small mark that looks like a cross between ç and < appears on the left of each line of left-to-right text. On the right of each line in right-to-left text a mirror image of this symbol appears.
The medial forms of a few of the letters: k, r and their variants g, kh, gh, ŋ, l, reverse direction when the script is written right-to-left.
The left form of l and r is used when writing right-to-left, and the right form is used when writing left-to-right.

Transliteration
