Peperklips

Peperklips is the creation of Maestraccio Bart Thomasse. He developed it as an alternative, semi-phonetic alphabet for Dutch, because he believes that the Latin alphabet is not the best way to write the Dutch language. The shapes of the letters are based on paperclips, as the name of the alphabet suggests.

Notable features

Peperklips consists of 46 letters, 10 numerals and various punctuation marks. Only the letters differ from the Latin alphabet.
Peperklips letters combine together to form consonant-vowel pairs with the vowels going above the consonants that preceed them.
When vowels appear at the beginning of a word or on their own, they are written with separate letters.
There are primary letters, each of which has a different shape, and variations on those letters, which have similiar sounds to the primary letters.
